Professor Yoo-Jin Park's research lab focuses on translational biomedical research with a strong emphasis on cancer pharmacology, stem cell biology, and inflammatory disease mechanisms. The lab investigates drug resistance in cancer cells, particularly through the modulation of P-glycoprotein (P-gp) activity, and explores epigenetic regulation of key developmental genes like Oct4 during cellular differentiation. Additionally, the lab applies data science and machine learning techniques to model urban transportation patterns using real-world transit data, demonstrating interdisciplinary applications in health and public health. The integration of molecular biology, clinical data analysis, and computational modeling defines the lab’s multidisciplinary approach to improving therapeutic strategies and health outcomes.

These results suggest that highly HAL-resistant cancer cells can be sensitized with cyclosporine A or elacridar, specific P-gp inhibitors that exert their effects at a low dose. These findings provide important information regarding the sensitization of highly HAL-resistant cells with selective P-gp inhibitors and indicate that elacridar may be used to treat such highly HAL-resistant cancer cells.
We investigated the relationship between oct4 gene ex-pression patterns and CpG sites methylation profiles during ES cell differentiation into neurons, and identified relevant binding factor. Our results, based on the NHID, supports the protective effect of tamoxifen against CVE in Korean breast cancer patients aged 55 and older that is not seen with AIs. Our results can guide the selection of adjuvant hormonal treatment agents for Korean breast cancer patients based on their risk of developing CVE.

본 연구는 메타분석 방법을 활용하여 유아 친사회적 행동 증진 프로그램의 효과를 분석하고, 프로그램을 개발하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제시하기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 2005년부터 2015년에 발표된 국내 연구 총 48편을 수집 및 분석하였다. 연구 결과 유아의 친사회적 행동 증진 프로그램은 매우 큰 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 유아 친사회적 행동의 하위요인 ‘감정이입 및 조절’에 대한 효과가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났고, 하위영역간의 효과는 유의한 차이는 없었다. 마지막으로 대상연령, 시행기간, 총 시행횟수, 주당 시행 횟수에 따라 유아 친사회적 행동 증진 프로그램의 효과 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 국내 관련 연구들을 종합하여 얻어진 본 연구의 결과는 이후 연구의 질적 향상과 효과적인 현장 적용에 시사점을 제공한다는데 의의가 있다.
