研究室紹介
Professor You Kyung Lee's research lab specializes in medical imaging and diagnostic radiology, with a focus on advancing the accuracy and clinical utility of medical imaging techniques. The lab investigates the correlation between radiological findings and molecular or clinical outcomes, particularly in oncology and infectious diseases. Key research directions include computer-aided diagnosis in low-dose CT, radiological predictors of EGFR status in lung cancer, and the imaging features of rare but severe infections such as invasive *Klebsiella pneumoniae* liver abscess syndrome. The lab also explores image reconstruction techniques to improve image quality while reducing radiation dose.

BACKGROUND: Recently, a striking new clinical manifestation of Klebsiella pneumoniae (KP) infection referred to as invasive KP liver abscess syndrome (IKPLAS), defined by liver abscess with contemporaneous metastatic KP infections at other body sites has been documented. Until now, however, there have been relatively few reports regarding its radiologic features. PURPOSE: To describe the clinical and radiological features of IKPLAS patients, and to compare them with those with KP liver abscess w
EGFR-overexpression is associated with high SUV(max), large tumor diameter, and small GGO proportion. CT and FDG-PET findings, which are closely related to EGFR overexpression, can be valuable in the prediction of clinical outcome.
With the use of IR, low-dose computed tomography of the chest would achieve less image noise and better image quality compared to the FBP.
To evaluate the real-world treatment outcomes in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) in Korea, focusing on retinal fluid resolution. This multi-institutional retrospective chart review study, analyzed medical records of patients with nAMD (age ≥ 50 years) who received their first anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment in ophthalmology clinics across South Korea between January 2017 and March 2019. The primary endpoint was the proportion of patients
OBJECTIVE: The aim of the study was to evaluate the characteristics of coronary artery-to-pulmonary artery fistula (CPAF) found by coronary computed tomography (CT) angiography. METHODS: Among 10,121 cases of coronary CT angiography performed for 7 years, we found 32 cases of CPAF. We retrospectively evaluated the demographics, clinical symptoms, and anatomical characteristics such as the origin, number of origins, course, opening site of the fistula, and the presence of aneurysmal changes (defi
BACKGROUND: variant rs35705950 is the common and most significant risk variant for rheumatoid arthritis-interstitial lung disease (RA-ILD) in Western populations. However, little is known about its significant association with RA-ILD in Asian populations. We here investigate the association of rs35705950 with Korean patients with RA-ILD. METHODS: In this cross-sectional study, we genotyped rs35705950 in 2444 patients with RA. Among them, 683 patients with RA who have chest CT were divided into R
BACKGROUND: To introduce a prospective cohort for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD) and to identify their clinical features in comparison with RA patients without ILD. METHODS: Using a multidisciplinary collaborative approach, a single-center cohort for RA patients with ILD (RA-ILD) was established in May 2017, and enrolment data from May 2017 to March 2021 were used to compare the clinical features of RA patients without ILD (RA-non ILD). Multivariable logi
ASC was more commonly peripheral than central, and showed internal low and heterogeneous attenuation and possessed lobulated, spiculated, or ill-defined margin on CT. Mean SUVmax of ASC was 8.3 ± 3.9. Central ASC was larger than peripheral ASC. Except for tumor size, central ASC and peripheral ASC showed no significant differences in pathology, FDG PET, and survival. Higher SUVmax was a poor prognostic factor.
