Professor Young Hoan Cho's research lab specializes in the design and integration of artificial intelligence in education, with a focus on student-AI collaboration, collaborative learning in virtual environments, and the use of learning analytics to support personalized and adaptive instruction. The lab investigates how AI can serve as a collaborative learning partner, enhances student engagement, and supports ethical and critical thinking in educational contexts. Research also explores the role of physical and social presence in virtual worlds and the development of real-time feedback systems to improve learning outcomes in face-to-face and digital collaborative settings.
