Professor Young Hye Ko's research lab specializes in hematological malignancies, with a primary focus on the molecular pathology, clinical characteristics, and treatment outcomes of various lymphomas, including plasmablastic lymphoma, marginal zone B-cell lymphoma, NK/T-cell lymphoma, and angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma. The lab integrates clinical oncology with molecular and imaging techniques, utilizing proteomics, immunohistochemistry, and advanced radiological modalities such as multidetector CT and MRI to improve diagnosis, risk stratification, and therapeutic strategies. Their work also explores the role of stress proteins like Hsp27 in vascular pathology, linking molecular mechanisms to disease progression in atherosclerosis.

15BACKGROUND: We intended to identify proteins that are differentially expressed in human atherosclerotic plaques. Nongastric marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (NG-MZL) is a relatively uncommon indolent lymphoma. From 1990 to 2005, a total of 247 patients with histologically confirmed NG-MZL were analyzed. Ann Arbor stage I/II disease was present in 78% (167 out of 215). We treated 17 patients with localized, nasal NK/T-cell lymphoma with two cycles of dose-intense CHOP (DI-CHOP) and early involved field radiation (IFRT). Sixteen out of 17 patients were evaluable for response. After two cycles of DICHOP, nine patients achieved complete remission (CR) (53%) and six had partial remissions (35%). The purpose of this article is to provide a current review of the spectrum of multidetector CT (MDCT) and MRI findings for a variety of cardiac neoplasms. In the diagnosis of cardiac tumors, the use of MDCT and MRI can help differentiate benign from malignant masses. The objective of this retrospective study was to investigate clinical features and treatment outcomes in patients with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL), data of which were collected over a 15-year period.
