Professor Young Soo Jeon's research lab specializes in orthopedic surgery and trauma management, with a strong focus on complex joint disorders, particularly in patients with hemophilia. The lab investigates innovative, less invasive surgical techniques and implant systems—such as cementless total hip arthroplasty and the Accolade TMZF femoral stem—to improve long-term outcomes in patients with severe arthropathy. Additionally, the lab explores advanced interventional radiology methods like radiosynoviorthesis using targeted radioisotopes (e.g., Holmium-166-chitosan complex) for managing joint disease in coagulopathic patients. The research also extends to rare post-traumatic conditions, such as calcific myonecrosis and internal snapping hip syndrome due to bony abnormalities, emphasizing early diagnosis and surgical intervention.
