Professor Young Wook Yoon's research lab specializes in neuromodulation and neuropharmacology, focusing on the mechanisms underlying neuropathic and osteoarthritic pain. The lab investigates central and peripheral contributions to chronic pain states, with particular emphasis on nitric oxide signaling, NMDA receptor subtypes (especially NR2B), and the role of spinal cord sensitization.
