Professor Youngseok Park's research lab focuses on gastrointestinal and neuroendocrine tumors, with a strong emphasis on metastatic colorectal cancer, hindgut neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), and advanced gastric and hepatobiliary cancers. The lab investigates molecular markers such as KRAS and ATM mutations to understand their prognostic and predictive roles in disease progression and treatment response. It also explores novel targeted therapies, including anti-angiogenic agents like tanibirumab, and evaluates treatment strategies to optimize survival and quality of life in metastatic settings. The lab integrates clinical oncology with translational research to improve outcomes in patients with rare and aggressive gastrointestinal malignancies.
