Professor Younsoo Chung's research lab focuses on advancing urological diagnostics and precision medicine, with a strong emphasis on prostate cancer detection and management. The lab investigates innovative imaging-guided biopsy techniques—such as transperineal and MRI-targeted biopsies—to improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce complications. It also explores genetic risk assessment through germline mutation screening in familial prostate cancer and examines antimicrobial resistance in both human and veterinary settings, highlighting One Health implications. The lab integrates clinical, molecular, and epidemiological approaches to address critical challenges in urological health, particularly in aging populations.
