연구실 소개
정애리 교수의 연구실은 은하계의 기체 성분과 환경 상호작용을 중심으로 연구를 진행합니다. 주로 별 집합체인 베르고 은하단에서의 원자성 수소(H I) 분포와 그 구조를 고해상도 전파망원경을 통해 분석하며, 은하의 진화에 영향을 주는 메커니즘(예: 기체 램압력 스트리핑, 간섭작용 등)을 규명하고자 합니다. 또한 초광활성은하와 초거대적적색적외선은하(ULIRGs)의 분자기체 분출과 같은 은하핵 활동의 영향을 분석함으로써 은하의 가속화된 별 formation과 에너지 순환 메커니즘을 탐구합니다.

15We present the results of a new VLA H i Imaging survey of Virgo galaxies, the VLA Imaging survey of Virgo galaxies in Atomic gas (VIVA). The survey includes high-resolution H i data of 53 carefully selected late type galaxies (48 spirals and five irregular systems). In a new HI imaging survey of Virgo galaxies (VIVA: VLA Imaging of Virgo galaxies in Atomic gas), we find 7 spiral galaxies with long HI tails. The morphology varies but all the tails are extended well beyond the optical radii on one side. These galaxies are found in intermediate-low density regions (0.6-1 Mpc in projection from M87). The tails are all pointing roughly away from M87, suggesting that these tails may have been created by a global cluster mechanism. While the tidal effects of the c

The feedback from galactic outflows is thought to play an important role in shaping the gas content, star formation history, and ultimately the stellar mass function of galaxies. Here we present evidence for massive molecular outflows associated with ultra-luminous infrared galaxies (ULIRGs) in the co-added Redshift Search Receiver 12CO (1-0) spectrum. We present 12CO J=1-->0 observations of ultraluminous infrared galaxies (ULIRGs) obtained using the Redshift Search Receiver (RSR) on the 14-m telescope of the Five College Radio Astronomy Observatory. We have identified two new galaxies with gas counter-rotation (NGC 1596 and 3203) and have confirmed similar behaviour in another one (NGC 128), this using results from separate studies of the ionized-gas and stellar kinematics of a well-defined sample of 30 edge-on disc galaxies. The 3 mm wavelength spectra of 10 galaxies have been obtained at the Five College Radio Astronomy Observatory using a new, very broadband receiver and spectrometer, called the Redshift Search Receiver (RSR). ABSTRACT We have performed a very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) survey of local (z < 0.05) ultrahard X-ray (14–195 keV) selected active galactic nuclei (AGNs) from the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) using KVN, KaVA, and VLBA. We first executed fringe surveys of 142 BAT-detected AGNs at 15 or 22 GHz. We probe the H i properties and the gas environments of three early-type barred galaxies harbouring counter-rotating ionized gas: NGC 128, NGC 3203 and NGC 7332. Each system has one or more optically identified galaxy at a similar or as yet unknown redshift within a 50-kpc projected radius.
