15PURPOSE: To evaluate whether measurement of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and pure diffusion coefficient (D) can help to characterize solid pancreatic masses. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Diffusion-weighted MR imaging was performed in both a patient group (n = 71; pancreatic cancer [n = 47], mass-forming pancreatitis [n = 13], solid pseudopapillary neoplasm [n = 6], and neuroendocrine tumor [n = 5]) and a normal control group (n = 11) by applying three b-factors of 0, 500, and 1000 sec/mm(2). Background Hepatobiliary phase (HBP) hypointense nodules without arterial phase hyperenhancement (APHE) at gadoxetic acid–enhanced MRI may indicate hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or nonmalignant cirrhosis-associated nodules. Purpose To assess the distribution of pathologic diagnoses of HBP hypointense nodules without APHE at gadoxetic acid–enhanced MRI and to evaluate clinical and imaging features in differentiating their histologic grades. Materials and Methods This retrospective multicenter st
OBJECTIVE: To help preserve accessory pudendal arteries (APAs) and to ensure optimal postoperative sexual function after a laparoscopic or robot-assisted radical prostatectomy, we have evaluated the incidence of APAs as detected on multidetector-row CT (MDCT) angiography and have provided a detailed anatomical description. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The distribution of APAs was evaluated in 121 consecutive male patients between February 2006 and July 2007 who underwent 64-channel MDCT angiography of
Growing teratoma syndrome can be manifested as intraperitoneal masses with an increased fatty or cystic component. Radiologists should consider GTS when there are such masses on follow-up imaging studies in patients with malignant ovarian GCT.
Cystic Brunner's gland hamartoma in the duodenum is exceedingly rare, although microscopic examination may sometimes reveal a Brunner's gland hamartoma containing dilated ducts in the duodenum. We present a case of large cystic Brunner's gland hamartoma in the duodenum with a long stalk, which is described in light of multidetector-row computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and a modified small bowel series, together with pathologic correlation and differential diagnosis.

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to assess the utility of prostate-specific antigen density (PSAD) calculated using magnetic resonance imaging for predicting Gleason score (GS) upgrade in patients with low-risk prostate cancer on biopsy. METHODS: Seventy-three patients were divided into 2 groups according to the concordance between biopsy and prostatectomy GS: group 1 (6/6) and group 2 (6/≥7). Magnetic resonance imaging-based PSAD, prostate volume, prostate-specific antigen (PSA), and age we
Objective The aim of the study was to investigate the diagnostic feasibility of radiomics analysis using magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) to assess hepatic fibrosis in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Methods One hundred patients with suspected NAFLD were retrospectively enrolled. All patients underwent a liver parenchymal biopsy. Magnetic resonance elastography was performed using a 3.0-T scanner. After multislice segmentation of MRE images, 834 radiomic features wer
For evaluating PDAC, the VMI55 of the PVP was superior to the pancreatic-phase image in terms of tumor conspicuity and peripancreatic vascular enhancement. Therefore, the VMI55 of the PVP could be an alternative to the pancreatic-phase scan in patients suspicious of PDAC.
