강보경 교수의 연구실은 주로 간지방질변과 비알코올성간지방간질환(NAFLD)의 정밀 진단 및 치료에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 MRI를 활용한 간지방분율 정량화 기술과 프로바이오틱스의 체내 지방분포 변화에 대한 영향을 연구하며, 영상의학과 생체영상 기반의 정밀의료 기반의 신속하고 정확한 진단법 개발을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 또한, 신경내분비성 종양과 유사한 영상 소견을 보이는 부속비장의 영상학적 구분을 위한 디퓨전 웨이브 이미징 기법의 응용 연구도 진행 중입니다.
