연구실 소개
최봉근 교수의 연구실은 주로 전립선 특이성 산화인산화효소(PAP)의 면역학적 특성과 생화학적 기전을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 PAP의 이소zyme 형태 분석, 면역반응성 정량화 및 암세포 진단 응용에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 전립선암의 조기 진단 및 생물학적 마커로의 활용 가능성을 탐색하고 있습니다. 또한, 방사선 치료 후 발생하는 골절 및 뼈 손상에 관한 임상적 연구를 병행하여 종양 치료의 부작용에 대한 기초 연구도 수행하고 있습니다.

A double-antibody radioimmunoassay method for prostate-specific acid phosphatase (PAP) is presented. Experimental details are outlined to assess the reproducibility and reliability of the method under assay conditions. Human sera or plasma containing acid phosphatases were mixed with rabbit antiserum specific for prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP) and the resulting primary immune complexes were precipitated by ammonium sulfate. The amount of specifically precipitated PAP was estimated directly by its enzyme activity. Using this assay, as little as 10 ng/ml of the PAP could be determined. Excellent correlation of this assay method with other immunoassays of PAP was demonstrated.
Natural killer (NK) cell activity of prostatic cancer patients was compared with that of control groups by the radioactive indium (111In) release assay using the K562 and H494 cells as targets.
