Introduction: The dosimetric factors of radiotherapy have an acute impact on the host immune system during chemoradiotherapy (CRT) in locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, even after CRT, a substantial number of patients remain immunosuppressed with delayed lymphopenia. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate clinical and dose-volumetric predictors of delayed lymphopenia after CRT in locally advanced NSCLC. Materials and methods: We retrospectively reviewed 272 patients with loca

SJR Q1JCO Precision Oncology

PURPOSE: The estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer (BC), which constitutes the majority of BC cases, exhibits highly heterogeneous clinical behavior. To aid precision treatments, we aimed to find molecular subtypes of ER+ BC representing the tumor microenvironment and prognosis. METHODS: We analyzed RNA-seq data of 113 patients with BC and classified them according to the PAM50 intrinsic subtypes using gene expression profiles. Among them, we further focused on 44 patients with luminal-

Pretreatment risk prediction for distant metastasis in locally advanced rectal cancer.

SJR Q1Journal of Clinical Oncology

248 Background: Distant metastasis is the most common form of recurrence in locally advanced rectal cancer. This study aimed to identify pretreatment risk factors for distant metastases in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer. Methods: This single-institution retrospective study included 285 patients who underwent preoperative chemoradiotherapy followed by surgical resection between January 2016 and December 2020. Pretreatment clinical characteristics, MRI findings, and blood profiles we

TMET-65. SETD2 Loss Predicts Favorable Prognosis in Glioblastoma via Suppression of the Serine Synthesis Pathway
Byung-Hee Kang, Ji-Hae Jung, Hye Jo Ryu, Joo Ho Lee
SJR Q1Neuro-OncologyOA

Abstract BACKGROUND Glioblastoma (GBM) is an aggressive primary brain tumor characterized by poor prognosis and limited treatment options. SETD2, a histone H3K36 trimethyltransferase, maintains genomic integrity and regulates transcriptional and metabolic processes. Although SETD2 loss has been associated with altered metabolism and oxidative stress, its prognostic and mechanistic implications in GBM remain unclear. METHODS We analyzed clinical and transcriptomic datasets to evaluate the associa

Improving segmentation precision in prostate cancer adaptive radiation therapy with a patient-specific network

SJR Q1PLoS ONEOA

Adaptive radiotherapy (ART) enhances prostate cancer treatment by accounting for daily anatomical variations, but clinical implementation remains limited due to the need for accurate and efficient auto segmentation; manual corrections after automated contouring often hinder workflow efficiency. To address this, we propose a patient-specific network (PSN) approach for clinical target volume (CTV) segmentation using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). This retrospective study included 26 prostat

Abstract 7656: Clinicogenomic anlaysis reveals a role for TP53 mutations in distant progression of high-grade glioma
Byung-Hee Kang, Seungbok Lee, Joo Ho Lee
SJR Q1Cancer Research

Abstract Purpose: High-grade glioma (HGG), the most common form of primary brain tumor, is highly lethal and treatment options remain limited. Despite advances in genomic technologies, there are few molecular biomarkers to guide precision medicine for HGG. Here, we aimed to identify the clinicogenomic features associated with HGG prognosis and recurrence patterns. Methods: Our single-institution retrospective analysis included 220 patients initially diagnosed with adult HGG (grade 3 or 4) who un
