연구실 소개
이병재 교수의 연구실은 주로 호흡기 질환과 피부질환의 면역 및 염증 반응 메커니즘을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 비알레르기성 천식, 만성기침, 아토피성 피부염 등에서 면역세포 및 상피세포의 손상과 관련된 신호전달 경로, 예를 들어 IFN-γ, FGF2, α-헤모리신 등 특정 단백질의 역할을 심층적으로 연구하고 있습니다. 또한 세균 유래 외소포체(EVs)와 같은 병원체 유래 물질이 조직 손상 및 염증 반응을 유도하는 메커니즘을 분석하여, 새로운 치료 타겟을 모색하고 있습니다. 이 연구들은 임상에서 아직 해결되지 않은 비특이적 만성질환에 대한 진단 및 치료 전략 개발에 기여하고자 합니다.
