연구실 소개
신철민 교수의 연구실은 위암의 발병 기전과 위험도 평가를 중심으로, 헬리코박터 파일로리 감염, 유전적 소인, 에피제네틱스 변화(특히 DNA 메틸화)와 같은 다각적 요소가 위암 발생에 미치는 영향을 연구하고 있습니다. 특히 가족력, H. pylori 감염, ALDH2 유전자형 등과의 상호작용을 통해 개인별 위험도를 평가하고, 치료 후 메틸화 변화를 추적하는 장기적 관찰 연구도 진행 중입니다. 이는 조기 진단 및 예방 전략 개발에 기여할 수 있는 임상적 의미가 높은 연구입니다.
