연구실 소개
박대원 교수의 연구실은 세균성 감염과 패혈성 쇼크에서 면역세포 기능 이상을 해소하기 위한 신약 타겟 탐색과 그 기전 규명을 중심으로 활동하고 있습니다. 특히, AMPK 활성화가 중성구의 이동성과 병원체 제거 능력을 향상시켜 패혈증에서의 치명률을 낮출 수 있음을 규명하며, 대사 조절과 면역 조절의 상관관계를 밝혀내고 있습니다. 또한, 패혈증 환자의 예후를 높이기 위한 혈액 수혈의 임상적 가치와 새로운 촉매 시스템을 통한 CO₂ 포집 기술 개발 등 다학제적 연구를 전개하고 있습니다.

A prospective multicenter observational study was performed to investigate the epidemiology and outcomes of community-acquired severe sepsis and septic shock.
