Gold Nanoparticle-Graphite-Like C3N4Nanosheet Nanohybrids Used for Electrochemiluminescent Immunosensor

SJR Q1Analytical Chemistry

Two-dimensional graphite-like carbon nitride nanosheets (g-C3N4 NSs) were hybridized with gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) to construct an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunosensor. The prepared Au NP-functionalized g-C3N4 NS nanohybrids (Au-g-C3N4 NHs) exhibit strong and stable cathodic ECL activity compared to g-C3N4 NSs due to the important roles of Au NPs in trapping and storing the electrons from the conduction band of g-C3N4 NSs, as well as preventing high energy electron-induced passivation

SJR Q1Nano TodayOA

Based on the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) of metallic nanoparticles, plasmonic nanosensors have emerged as a powerful tool for biosensing applications. Many detection schemes have been developed and the field is rapidly growing to incorporate new methodologies and applications. Amidst all the ongoing research efforts, one common factor remains a key driving force: continued improvement of high-sensitivity detection. Although there are many excellent reviews available that describe

Oriented Gold Nanoparticle Aggregation for Colorimetric Sensors with Surprisingly High Analytical Figures of Merit
Longhua Guo, Yang Xu, Abdul Rahim Ferhan, Guonan Chen, Dong‐Hwan Kim
SJR Q1Journal of the American Chemical Society

The common drawbacks of current colorimetric sensors using gold nanoparticle aggregation is its relatively low sensitivity and narrow dynamic range, which restrict their application in real sample analysis when competing with other analytical techniques such as fluorescence and chemiluminescence. In this article, we demonstrate a novel strategy to construct colorimetric sensors based on gold nanoparticle aggregation. Unlike the conventional colorimetric sensors which cause the formation of large

SJR Q1Advanced Functional MaterialsOA

Abstract The use of biologically active dopants in conductive polymers allows the polymer to be tailored for specific applications. The incorporation of nerve growth factor (NGF) as a co‐dopant in the electrochemical deposition of conductive polymers is evaluated for its ability to elicit specific biological interactions with neurons. The electrochemical properties of the NGF‐modified conducting polymers are studied by impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. Impedance measurements at the

Conducting polymers grown in hydrogel scaffolds coated on neural prosthetic devices
Dong‐Hwan Kim, Mohammad Reza Abidian, David C. Martin
SJR Q1Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part AOA

The conducting polymer polypyrrole (PPy) was electrochemically grown on hydrogel scaffolds deposited on the surface of microfabricated neural prosthetic devices. It is shown that the pyrrole monomer can be grown vertically through the hydrogel layer up to the surface without affecting the adjacent sites on the probes. The electrochemical properties of the conducting polymer-modified hydrogels were studied by impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. It is also found that the conducting poly

Abstract In this study, we employ a combination of various in-situ surface analysis techniques to investigate the thermally induced degradation processes in MAPbI 3 perovskite solar cells (PeSCs) as a function of temperature under air-free conditions (no moisture and oxygen). Through a comprehensive approach that combines in-situ grazing-incidence wide-angle X-ray diffraction (GIWAXD) and high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HR-XPS) measurements, we confirm that the surface structur

Hierarchically Structured One-Dimensional TiO2 for Protein Immobilization, Direct Electrochemistry, and Mediator-Free Glucose Sensing
Peng Si, Shujiang Ding, Jun Yuan, Xiong Wen Lou, Dong‐Hwan Kim
SJR Q1ACS Nano

A novel one-dimensional hierarchically structured TiO(2) (1DHS TiO(2)) was synthesized by a solvothermal method using multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as a template and evaluated for the immobilization of protein and biosensing applications. Characterization studies showed that the 1DHS TiO(2) possessed an anatase crystalline structure and a large surface area with narrow pore size distribution. Fast direct electron transfer was observed for glucose oxidase (GOx) immobilized on the 1DHS TiO

SJR Q1The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters

Perovskite solar cells have great potential for high efficiency generation but are subject to the impact of external environmental conditions such as humidity, UV and sun light, temperature, and electric fields. The long-term stability of perovskite solar cells is an important issue for their commercialization. Various studies on the stability of perovskite solar cells are currently being performed; however, the stability related to electric fields is rarely discussed. Here the electrical stabil

SJR Q1Advanced Materials

Abstract The status and problems of upscaling research on perovskite solar cells, which must be addressed for commercialization efforts to be successful, are investigated. An 804 cm 2 perovskite solar module has been reported with 17.9% efficiency, which is significantly lower than the champion perovskite solar cell efficiency of 25.2% reported for a 0.09 cm 2 aperture area. For the realization of upscaling high‐quality perovskite solar cells, the upscaling and development history of conventiona

Abstract Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have been extensively studied because of their outstanding performance: a power conversion efficiency exceeding 22% has been achieved. The most commonly used PSCs consist of CH 3 NH 3 PbI 3 (MAPbI 3 ) with a hole-selective contact, such as 2,2′,7,7′-tetrakis( N , N -di- p -methoxyphenylamine)-9,9-spiro-bifluorene (spiro-OMeTAD), for collecting holes. From the perspective of long-term operation of solar cells, the cell performance an

PURPOSE: Imatinib resistance is major cause of imatinib mesylate (IM) treatment failure in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients. Several cellular and genetic mechanisms of imatinib resistance have been proposed, including amplification and overexpression of the BCR/ABL gene, the tyrosine kinase domain point mutations, and MDR1 gene overexpression. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN: We investigated the impact of 16 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in five genes potentially associated with pharmacogenet
