To see whether government spending has reduced inequality, we analyse data from Sri Lanka. We find that public expenditure is ineffective for the policy objective; instead, it increases inequality.

본 소고는 성경 해석에 있어 알레고리적 해석이란 무엇이며, 그 공헌과 한계는 무엇인가 하는 질문에 답하기 위한 시도이다. 논의는 다음과 같이 진행된다. 첫째, 성서학의 맥락 속에서 알레고리를 정의한다. 이때 알레고리와 연결점이 있는 다른 문학적 기법들도 살펴본다. 둘째, 알레고리적 성경 해석을 대표하는 3세기 신학자 오리게네스의 알레고리적 성경 해석의 원리를 논의한다. 셋째, 에스겔이 말한 알레고리의 실례인 ‘부정한 아내 예루살렘’의 알레고리(겔 16장)의 일부를 간략히 살핀다. 넷째, 알레고리적 성경 해석의 실례로서 에스겔 16장의 알레고리의 일부에 대한 오리게네스의 해석을 요약한다. 결론 부분은 알레고리적 성경 해석의 공헌과 한계를 간략히 논의한다.

본 연구의 목적은 사해 두루마리의 히브리어(= 쿰란히브리어)의 철자와 음운을 기술하고, 이에 근거하여 고대 히브리어의 변천이라는 맥락에서 쿰란 히브리어의 철자와 음운을 유형론적으로 정의하고자 하는 것이다. 쿰란 히브리어에 대한 개괄적 논의가 필요한 이유는 두 가지인데, 한국 성서학계에서 쿰란 히브리어를 개관하는 논의가 이뤄진 적이 없다는 점, 그리고 2000년대 이후 사해 두루마리의 출간 작업이 완료되면서 쿰란 히브리어에 대한 언어학적 개관의 필요성이 다시금 대두했다는 점이 그것이다. 논문은 쿰란 히브리어의 철자의 특징으로 (1) 모음 글자 ו의 사용, (2) 모음 글자 י의 사용, (3) 이인칭 남성 단수를 나타내는 접미 대명사 및 동사 어미로서 כה-와 קטלתה 사용, (4) III-ה 어근에서 파생된 남성 명사의 단수 연계형을 י로 표기, (5) 어중 및 어말에서 이중자 אי ,יא ,או ,וא 사용을 꼽는다. 음운적 특징으로는 (1) 후음의 약화, (2) 후음이 있던 자리

We document speed-up gains of graphical processing unit (GPU) computing over central processing unit (CPU) for the estimation of discrete choice random coefficient demand model. When we use a moderate-sized GPU, the computation is six to twenty times faster, where the smallest speed-up factor, six, is obtained from a comparison with the parallel computing over sixteen CPU cores.
