연구실 소개
하동수 교수의 연구실은 유기금속 화학과 산화 반응의 메커니즘을 중심으로, 크로뮴(VI) 기반의 고효율 산화제 개발과 그 응용에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 톨루엔 파생물의 벤질 산화, 풀러렌의 프리델-크래프스 풀러레이션 반응, 실릴 기반의 새로운 유기합성 전구체 제조 등에 대한 기초 및 응용 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 이는 고도로 선택적인 유기합성 반응의 설계와 실질적 응용 가능성을 높이는 데 기여하고 있습니다.

15Abstract Buckminsterfullerene reects with aromatic benzene derivatives in the presence of Lewis acids such as aluminum trichloride or aluminum tribromide to give Friedel-Crafts fullerenation products. Polyhalogenated fullerenes also react with aromatic compounds to afford fullerylated aromatic compound under the Friedel-Crafts reaction conditions.
(Trimethylsilyl)methyl halides (1,3) and trifluoromethanesulfonate (triflate) (2) were prepared by inserting a methylene group into the siliconheteroatom bond of trimethylsilyl halides and triflate using diazomethane.
Chlorotrimethylsilane reacts with chromic anhydride to form a very reactive neutral chromium (Ⅵ) oxidizing agent. The active oxidizing species is not trimethylsilyl chlorochromate as was previously reported but chromyl chloride generated in equilibrium concentration. Aryl methyl and aryl phenyl sulfides were prepared by the reaction of arenediazonium tetrafluoroborates with trimethyl(methylthio)-and trimethyl(phenylthio)silanes, respectively.In the latter case, addition of cupric sulfide was found to increase the yields.The main by-products were protodediazoniated products and diphenyl disulfide, which can be removed by treatment with aqueous sulfide and a base.
