본 연구는 지속적으로 증가되고 있는 인센티브 관광객들이 지각하는 우리나라의 관광수용태세에 대해 알아보고시급히 시정이 필요한 관광수용태세의 개선을 통해 인센티브 관광객들의 만족도를 높이고 관광객의 유치를 증대하는 것을 목적으로 실시되었다. 본 연구의 목적을 수행하기 위해 우리나라의 관광수용태세를 파악하고, 도출된 결과를 바탕으로 개선 방안과 시사점을 제공하였다. 연구에 필요한 데이터를 확보하기 위해 한국관광공사와 인센티브 관련 여행사의 협조를 받아 수도권에서 진행된 인센티브 관광에 참가한 해외 인센티브 관광객을 대상으로 자기기입식을 통해 횡단 설문을 진행하였다. 확보된데이터 중 분석이 어려운 표본을 제외하고 최종적으로 분석이 가능한 1,655부의 유효 표본을 분석에 사용하였다. 우리나라의 관광수용태세를 파악하기 위해 전통적 IPA의 문제점을 보완한 Deng(2007)이 제시한 상대적 중요도를 사용한 수정된 IPA를 활용하였으며, IP Matrix 중 4사분면에 위치한 관광수용태세 속성
