연구실 소개
정동혁 교수의 연구실은 대사증후군과 관련된 대사성 이상이 심장혈관 질환으로 이어지는 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 인슐린 저항성의 생체지표인 트리글리세리드-혈액포도당 지수(TyG), 혈관질환 위험을 반영하는 혈액지표(AIP), 간지방간 및 간기능지표와 심장동맥 석회화 간의 연관성 등에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한, 갱년기 후 여성의 콜레스테롤 대사에 영향을 미치는 한약재인 한국홍삼의 임상적 효과에 대해서도 기초적 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 이는 심혈관 질환의 조기 진단 및 예방 전략 개발에 기여하고자 하는 목적이 담겨 있습니다.
