최의근 교수의 연구실은 심혈관 질환의 발생 메커니즘과 예방 전략을 탐구하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 대규모 국가 건강정보 데이터베이스를 활용한 실생활 관찰 연구와 함께, 부정맥, 심부전, 뇌졸중 등 주요 심혈관계 합병증의 위험 인자를 규명하고 있습니다. 특히 치아 건강과 심혈관 질환의 연관성, 암 환자에서의 심방세동 발생 위험, 그리고 스마트 기기 기반의 부정맥 조기 진단 기술 개발 등 실용적이고 임상적 의미가 높은 연구를 지속적으로 수행하고 있습니다.

BACKGROUND: Little is known about the relationship between intrinsic cardiac nerve activity (ICNA) and spontaneous arrhythmias in ambulatory animals. Patients with atrial fibrillation had a 4 times increased risk of mortality compared with the general population. However, the impact of atrial fibrillation on mortality decreased with age and in men.
