연구실 소개

조 은 정 교수의 연구실은 전사 조절과 에피제네틱 조절의 분자 기전을 중심으로, RNA 중간엽소화효소와 RNA 중합효소 II의 CTD 도메인 간 상호작용을 통해 전사와 메신저 RNA 가공의 시기적 연계를 규명하고 있습니다. 특히, 전사 억제 및 세포주기 정지 기전과 관련된 파라파이브로미닌과 히스톤 메틸라제의 상호작용을 통해 종양 suppressor 기능을 밝혀내고 있으며, 대사와 에피제네틱 조절의 융합 분야에서 히스톤 아실화 수정의 동적 변화를 분석하고 있습니다. 이는 세포 대사 적응과 유전자 발현 조절의 분자 기전을 밝히는 데 기여하고 있습니다.

mRNA capping is a cotranscriptional event mediated by the association of capping enzyme with the phosphorylated carboxy-terminal domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II.
