연구실 소개

곽금연 교수의 연구실은 비알코올성 간지방질간염(NAFLD)이 대사증후군 뿐만 아니라 심혈관 질환, 만성 신장질환, 대장암, 근육량 감소 등 다학제적 만성질환과의 연관성을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 초음파를 활용한 NAFLD 진단과 함께, 그 중증도 평가를 바탕으로 다양한 기저질환의 진행 위험을 규명하고 있으며, 중간 연령대의 아시아인을 대상으로 한 장기적 코hort 연구를 통해 메타볼릭 스트레스의 전신적 영향을 체계적으로 분석하고 있습니다. 연구는 임상적 예방 전략 수립과 개인 맞춤형 건강관리의 근거를 제공하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.
