연구실 소개

최기영 교수의 연구실은 뇌신경종양, 결장암, 위암 등 다양한 암 종양에서의 신호전달 경로와 유전자 변동을 중심으로 종양의 발생 및 진행 메커니즘을 규명하고 있습니다. 특히 PI3K/PTEN 경로, EGFR 및 HER2 발현, c-MET의 발현과 뇌침습성 간질종양의 연관성 등 암의 분자적 특성과 임상적 예후를 연결하는 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 또한, 감염성 기생충 질환과 같은 희귀질환의 진단 및 치료 사례를 통해 임상병리학적 진단의 정밀도를 높이는 데에도 기여하고 있습니다. 이 연구들은 암 치료의 개인화 및 타겟 치료 전략 개발에 기여하고 있습니다.

We report a case of massive hepatic infection by Capillaria hepatica in a 14-month-old girl who presented with the symptom triad of persistent fever, hepatomegaly, and leukocytosis with eosinophilia. This study demonstrates that c- MET(-High) is associated with brain invasion of meningiomas, and that c-MET expression may be a useful predictive marker for meningioma recurrence.
