연구실 소개

엄기방 교수의 연구실은 주로 녹내상의 생체학적 변화와 그 영향을 분석하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 망막 혈관 변화, 시신경 퇴행, 그리고 각막압 저하가 시신경 기능에 미치는 영향을 생체영상 및 정량적 분석을 통해 규명하고 있습니다. 또한 외상성 혈안 및 독성 손상에 의한 시신경 위축의 원인과 예후 요인을 밝혀내는 임상 기반 연구도 진행 중입니다. 이는 조기 진단과 개인 맞춤형 치료 전략 수립에 기여합니다.

At each follow-up, Tnasal IOP was statistically lower than at baseline, although the reduction was not as great as that of Tcenter IOP. A 2 to 3 mm Hg drop in Tnasal up to 6 months after LASIK should be expected. An alternative would be to measure IOP with the Tono-Pen on the nasal side to fit the tip to the relatively unchanged nasal side of the cornea.

Factors associated with the poor final visual outcome after traumatic hyphema

PURPOSE: Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the major cause of blindness among persons aged 60 years and older. The current approved therapies for AMD are exclusively limited to inhibiting vascular endothelial growth factor. However, substantial improvement in vision occurs in only one-third of patients treated with vascular endothelial growth factor antagonists, and one-sixth of treated patients still progress to legal blindness. Therefore, more specific targets are needed to treat AMD.
