연구실 소개

국종성 교수의 연구실은 기후변화와 기상극기의 상호작용, 특히 동아시아 지역의 계절별 기후예측 정확도 향상에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 엘니뇨의 공간적 유형에 따른 기후 영향 분석과 기후극기의 내부 변동, 해류 및 대기 순환의 상호작용을 통해 기후변화에 따른 강수량 변화의 기초 메커니즘을 규명하고자 합니다. 또한 기후모델의 예측 정확도를 향상시키기 위한 기초 기후 기반의 보정 기법 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다.

This paper is to assess the state of climate over East Asia and Korea during 2015/ 16 winter. There was a distinct intraseasonal climate variation during the period: the recordbreaking warmth in December 2015 vs. strong cold surge outbreaks in January 2016. Present-Day Constraint for Tropical Pacific Precipitation Changes due to Global Warming in CMIP5 Models

The sensitivity of the precipitation responses to greenhouse warming can depend on the present-day climate. In this study, a robust linkage between the present-day precipitation climatology and precipitation change owing to global warming is examined in inter-model space.
