최한용 교수의 연구실은 생체 분자, 특히 DNA의 전기적 성질과 생물학적 기능 간의 상관관계를 탐구하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. DNA의 전도성 메커니즘을 규명하고, 이를 응용한 나노전자소자(예: DNA 필드효과 트랜지스터)의 실현 가능성을 연구하고 있습니다. 또한, 암 치료의 핵심 과제인 항암제 내성 문제를 해결하기 위해 자연물 유래 화합물(예: 커큐민)과의 조합 치료 전략을 개발하고 있습니다. 특히, 블라더암, 전립선암 등에서 ROS 및 신호전달 경로를 타겟으로 한 약물의 Apoptosis 유도 메커니즘을 분석하고 있습니다.

15We report direct measurements of electrical transport through poly(dA)-poly(dT) and poly(dG)-poly(dC) DNA molecules containing identical base pairs.
