연구실 소개

정희선 교수의 연구실은 주로 수학 교육 및 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 심리적·사회적 요인을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 수학 내재적동기, 교사와 부모의 성취압력, 수학 수업 분위기 등이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향과 그 조절 효과를 종단적 연구 및 통계모델링을 통해 분석하고 있습니다. 또한 수학 학습 동기와 수학 성취 간의 인과관계를 탐색하고, 교육적 실천에 기여할 수 있는 정책적 시사점을 도출하고자 합니다. 이와 더불어 수학 교육과 관련된 심리학적 요인의 장기적 변화를 모델링하는 데에도 관심을 기울이고 있습니다.

수학 내재적 동기 수준에 따른 교사와 부모의 성취압력이 수학 학업성취에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 중학교 2학년의 수학 학업성취도에 대한 교사와 부모의 성취압력과 수학 내재적동기의 영향력과 조절효과를 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 수학 내재적동기의 수준에 따라, 수학 내재적동기가 높은 집단에서 교사의 성취압력은 수학 학업성취도에 부적인 영향을 미치는 반면, 수학 내재적동기 중·하집단에서는 교사의 성취압력이 수학 학업성취도에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 부모의 성취압력은 수학 내재적동기가 높은 집단과 낮은 집단 모두 수학 학업성취도에 정적인 영향을 미치고, 특히 수학 내재적동기가 중·상인 집단이 하집단에 비해 수학 학업성취도에 더 큰 효과를 나타냈다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교사와 부모의 성취압력을 통해 수학 학업성취도를 높일 수 있는 방안이 논의되었으며, 후속 연구를 위한 연구의 제한점을 제시하였다.
