이호연 교수 연구실은 흉부영상의학과 영상유전학 분야에서 핵심적인 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 고해상도 CT를 활용한 폐결절의 악성도 예측, 특히 기저성 폐암의 미세형질 및 유전자 변이(ALK, ROS1, RET)와 영상 소견 간의 연관성을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 특히 지속적인 영상 변화 분석과 레이디오믹스 기반 정량적 영상 분석을 통해 개인 맞춤형 진단 및 예후 예측 모델을 개발하고 있습니다. 이는 조기 폐암의 정밀의료 실현에 기여하고 있습니다.

15When pure GGNs are greater than 15 mm in diameter with nodularity or have high pixel attenuation (>-472 HU), the nodules are more likely to be invasive adenocarcinomas. Sublobar resection with a secured safety margin and without nodal dissection is performed for HRCT-suggested pure-GGN invasive adenocarcinomas and has a 100% 5-year survival rate.

Even in cases of fibrotic IIP with little honeycombing, serial CT reveals an increase in the extent of honeycombing and reticulation and a decrease in extent of GGO.
