연구실 소개
김호중 교수의 연구실은 비소세포성 폐암의 조기 진단과 치료 전략 개발을 핵심으로 삼고 있습니다. 특히 기도 세척액을 활용한 종양 특이적 염기서열 메틸화 패tern 분석과 DNA 메틸화효소(DNMT)의 임상적 역할 규명을 통해 폐암의 분자 생물학적 기전을 밝혀내고 있습니다. 또한 기관지 내시경을 이용한 양성 기도 폐쇄성 병변 치료 및 신개념 실리콘 기도 스텐트의 임상적 유효성에 대해서도 지속적인 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.

In patients with completely resected stage IA lung adenocarcinoma, ALK rearrangement was associated with unfavorable DFS and more frequent regional lymph node metastasis. Therefore, careful surveillance for recurrence should be performed in this subset of patients.
The main reasons for not undergoing surgery in patients with pulmonary mucormycosis were the gravity of underlying diseases and concerns for operative risk. Although overall survival rate was poor, it was significantly higher in patients who received pulmonary resection surgery. The decision to undergo lung resection is time-sensitive and essential in improving survival rate in patients suffering from pulmonary mucormycosis, despite perioperative risks.
