신훈철 교수의 연구실은 공유 자원의 지속가능한 거버넌스와 사회-생태계통의 복잡성에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히 물, 농업, 도로 인프라 등 공통자원과 기반시설의 거버넌스 문제를 다각도로 분석하며, 제도적 원칙, 지역적 특성, 기후 변화 및 글로벌화의 영향을 통합적으로 고려한 연구를 수행합니다. 대규모 비교 연구와 현장 실험을 융합한 방법론을 통해 공동체 수준의 협력과 자원 관리 성패의 원인을 규명하고자 합니다.

The U.S. highway system is an iconic example of civil infrastructure. Yet it also exemplifies the challenges of infrastructure sustainability.
