연구실 소개

김휘용 교수의 연구실은 영상 압축 및 품질 평가 분야에서 핵심적인 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 인간의 시각 인지 특성을 반영한 비디오 품질 평가 기반의 압축 기술, 머신 비전을 위한 영상 압축(VCM), 그리고 고해상도 및 허브로그램 영상의 효율적 압축 기법 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 또한 false contour와 같은 시각적 잡음 문제의 정밀 검출 및 제거 기술에 대해서도 깊이 있는 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 이는 고성능 영상 전송 및 저장을 위한 실용적이고 지능적인 압축 솔루션을 개발하는 데 초점이 맞춰져 있습니다.
