연구실 소개

이환영 교수의 연구실은 미토콘드리아 DNA의 정확성 검증과 분석 기술 개발을 핵심으로 하며, 특히 mtDNA 시퀀스 데이터의 품질 관리 및 허브리드형 변이 분석을 위한 웹 기반 도구 'mtDNAmanager' 개발로 유명합니다. 또한, 체내 환경 요인과 연관된 DNA 메틸화 패tern을 활용한 신체 체액 식별 및 연령 추정 기술 개발을 통해 형사과학 분야의 정밀도를 높이고자 합니다. 최근에는 한국인의 mtDNA 허브리드형 분포 분석 및 길이 이질성에 기반한 정량적 분석 기법 개발을 통해 유전자 증거의 신뢰성을 강화하고 있습니다.

The present study analyzed 21 coding region SNP markers and one deletion motif for the determination of East Asian mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) haplogroups by designing three multiplex systems which apply single base extension methods.
