연구실 소개

염화성 교수의 연구실은 핵융합 반응기의 플라즈마-facing 재료 및 고온 가스 환경에서의 재료 안정성에 중점을 두고 있으며, 특히 탄탈럼 및 투이타늄 나노코팅을 활용한 수소 및 중수소의 흡착 거동, 핵융합 재료의 내구성 향상 기술을 연구하고 있습니다. 또한 수소 에너지 시스템에서의 안정성 문제를 고려한 암모니아 고온 노출 시 철기반 및 스테인리스강의 부식 및 화학적 변형 메커니즘을 분석하고 있습니다. 이와 더불어 고속 카메라 기반 기포 역학 분석과 전기영동 도금 기반 나노코팅 기술을 활용해 열전달 성능 향상에도 기여하고 있습니다.

This work examines bubble dynamics for saturated nucleate boiling at atmospheric pressure for pure water on a 0.62 5mm-diameter zirconium wire with nanoparticle surface coating using a high-speed camera. Pool boiling experiments were carried out on the surface-modified wires fabricated by the electrophoretic deposition process using 60- to 80-nm titanium and 60- to 80-nm titania, respectively. Critical heat flux (CHF) enhancements for pool boiling were observed up to 27% for the titanium coating
