연구실 소개
김향 교수의 연구실은 생체재료 및 유전자 치료를 기반으로 한 조직공학적 접근을 중심으로, 척추디스크의 수복 및 재생을 위한 약물 및 성장인자 활용 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 BMP-2의 미세세포 및 핵심세포에서의 기능적 작용과 저용량 병용 유전자 치료 전략 개발을 통해 부작용을 최소화한 치료법을 모색하고 있으며, 이와 연계해 대사질환 모델과 환경독소의 생체내 영향 평가도 함께 진행하고 있습니다. 연구는 임상적 응용 가능성이 높은 생물학적 메커니즘 규명과 안전성 평가에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.

In this study, we investigated the clinical changes induced by a high fat diet (HFD) and caffeine consumption in a rat model. The mean body weight of the HFD with caffeine (HFDC)-fed rat was decreased compared to that of the HFD-fed rat without caffeine. The levels of cholesterol, triglycerides (TGs), and free fatty acid, as well as the size of adipose tissue altered by HFD, were improved by caffeine consumption. BMP-2 clearly exerted a mitogenic effect on AF cells, and stimulated proteoglycan synthesis in NP cells. However, BMP-2 did not have an osteogenic effect in any IVD region. Taken together, these results confirm that BMP-2 can be used as an anabolic agent for mitogenesis in AF cells and NP cell matrix regeneration without the possibility of osteogenesis.
Disposable sanitary pads are a necessity for women's health, but safety concerns regarding the use of these products have created anxiety.
