김현일 교수의 연구실은 위장관 종양의 내 endoscopic 치료 및 수술적 치료의 장기적 안전성과 유효성을 평가하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 복강경 위절제술의 5년 생존율을 중심으로 임상적 결과를 분석하며, 암 치료의 정밀화를 위한 임상 연구와 함께, 자연물 성분의 약리적 작용과 대사 조절 기전에 대한 기초 연구도 병행하고 있습니다. 최근에는 당뇨 모델에서의 천연물질의 장기적 영향과 이산화황이 장 운동성에 미치는 영향 등 생리학적 기전에 대한 기초 연구도 진행 중입니다.
