연구실 소개
김현 교수의 연구실은 신경과학과 분자생물학을 융합한 연구를 중심으로, 뇌의 미세소관 구조와 기능, 신경세포의 생존 및 손상에 관여하는 신경영화인자(BDNF)의 역할을 규명하고자 합니다. 특히 알츠하이머병과 경도 인지장애에서의 신경염증 반응과 체중 이상이 뇌 혈관 변화에 미치는 영향을 분자 및 임상 수준에서 탐색하고 있으며, 이는 뇌질환의 조기 진단 및 치료 전략 개발에 기여하고자 합니다. 또한 모델 생물인 효모의 막 단백질 구조를 체계적으로 분석함으로써 세포막 생물학의 기초를 다지고 있습니다.
