김현영 교수의 연구실은 생체재료 및 의료기기 분야에서 혁신적인 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 생분해성 전자 수술 메쉬, 나노입자 기반 복합막, 치주염 치료의 정밀 평가 기법 등 첨단 소재와 의료 기술의 융합을 통해 수술 후 합병증 예방과 조기 진단 기반의 치료 전략을 개발하고 있습니다. 뇌신경계에 미치는 미세먼지의 영향 및 선천성 횡격막호흡기의 예후 예측 모델링 등 건강 위협 요인에 대한 기초 연구도 병행하고 있습니다.
