김현숙 교수의 연구실은 대사질환, 특히 인슐린 저항성과 타입2 당뇨병의 발달 기전에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 지방 대사 이상과 인슐린 신호전달 이상 간의 상호작용을 밝혀내는 데 핵심적인 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 IGF-I 수용체 기능 이상을 가진 마우스 모델을 활용해 지방 대사 조절, 항산화 물질(예: 페로스타일빈), 프로바이오틱스 유래 다당류, 청량과일 부산물 등 다양한 천연물질의 대사적 효과를 기초 및 임상 모델을 통해 규명하고 있습니다. 또한, 신체적 대사 변화와 관련된 유전자 발현, 호르몬 조절, 염증 반응 등을 종합적으로 분석함으로써 만성질환 예방 전략을 모색하고 있습니다.

Physiological properties of water-soluble exopolysaccharides (EPS) and residues after EPS removal (Res) from the probiotic kefir were determined in high-fat (HF) diet-fed C57BL/6J mice. EPS solutions showed rheological properties and lower viscosity compared to those of β-glucan (BG). EPS significantly suppressed the adipogenesis of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes in a dose-dependent manner. 본 연구는 소셜네트워크 커뮤니케이션 환경에서 개인의 성향에 따라 나타나는 커뮤니케이션 형태, 소셜네트워크에 대한 몰입, 그리고 정보 인게이지먼트에 대한 차이를 검증하였다. 본 연구는 구체적으로 트위터 이용자들을 대상으로 개혁성향, 사회적 자본에 대한 욕구, 그리고 공적 개인화성향이 트위터 이용자 자신의 의견이나 정보에 대한 발신 및 수신의지, 트위터에 대한 몰입, 그리고 트위터를 통해 획득한정보에 얼마나 인게이지먼트되는지 그 영향을 분석하였다. 연구결과 개혁성향, 사회적 자본에 대한 욕구, 그리고 공적 개인화성향이 높은 트위터 이용자들은 메시지 발신의지가 강한 것으로 나타난 반면에각 성향이 상대적으로 낮은 이용자들은 수신자 입장을 고수하려는 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한사회적 자본에 대한 욕구가 큰 사람일수록 트위터에 대한 몰입도와 정보 인게이지먼트가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 트위터와 같은 소셜네트워크를 마케팅이나 PR의 수단으로 사용하기에 앞서 자사 혹은 조직이 커뮤니케이
