연구실 소개
이바나 카라노비치 교수의 연구실은 주로 지하수생태계에 서식하는 옥시테이드(오스트락드)의 분류학적 및 진화 생물학적 연구를 중심으로 하며, 특히 오스트락드의 고유종과 고대 지하 생태계의 진화적 기원을 밝히는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 서부 오스트레일리아의 피라바 지역과 같은 고대 지형에서 발견되는 고유한 지하 생물군집을 중심으로 신종 기록 및 분류 체계의 재정립을 진행하고 있습니다. 이는 생물다양성 보존과 고대 생태계의 진화적 역사 이해에 기여하는 학문적 성과를 창출하고 있습니다.
