연구실 소개

송재진 교수의 연구실은 세포 내 산화적 스트레스와 대사 변화가 세포 사멸 신호 경로에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 연구합니다. 특히 아폽토시스 신뢰도 조절 단백질인 ASK1과 그 억제 인자인 TRX, GRX 간의 상호작용 메커니즘을 규명하며, 포도당 부족 조건에서 JNK 경로 활성화 및 Daxx의 세포내 이동이 세포 사멸에 미치는 영향을 탐구하고 있습니다. 또한, 신경세포의 기능 회복을 위한 세포 기반 치료 전략 개발을 위해 신경줄기세포와 성돌연세포의 상호작용 메커니즘을 연구하고 있습니다.

Epitope-tagged glutaredoxin (GRX) was utilized to determine the role of GRX in oxidative stress-induced signaling and cytotoxicity in glucose-deprived human cancer cells (MCF-7/ADR and DU-145). We have previously observed that glucose deprivation activates the ASK1-MEK-MAPK signal transduction pathway. In the present study, we reveal that two scaffolding proteins, JIP1 and JIP3, have a cross-talk that leads to the regulation of the ASK1-SEK1-JNK signal during glucose deprivation.
