연구실 소개
김재준 교수의 연구실은 위암 발생 메커니즘과 관련된 미생물(헬리코박터 파일로리)의 역할을 중심으로, 장내 미생물과 숙주 간의 상호작용, 특히 DNA 복구 기능 이상과 유전자 불안정성의 연관성을 규명하고자 합니다. 또한 내 endoscopic 치료와 수술의 장기적 예후 비교, 항생제 내성의 진단적 과제, 특히 위내시경 생검 부위 간 이질적 내성(헤터로저시티)의 영향을 분석하는 데에도 집중하고 있습니다. 특히, 항생제 내성의 진단 정확도 향상을 위한 생검 부위 선정 전략과 장기적 치료 결과 예측 모델링도 핵심 연구 과제입니다.

Antibiotic resistance among Helicobacter pylori has been increasing worldwide and has begun to affect the overall efficacy of current antibiotic regimens adversely. We examined 220 pairs of H. pylori isolates obtained from both the antrum and corpus of separate patients; 109 (50%) harbored antibiotic-resistant H. pylori: amoxicillin (0.5%), clarithromycin (5.9%), furazolidone (1.4%), metronidazole (45.5%), nitrofurantoin (1.4%), and tetracycline (6.8%). The effects of the rulAB operon of Pseudomonas syringae on mutagenic DNA repair and the transcriptional regulation of rulAB following irradiation with UV-B wavelengths were determined. The early detection of gastric cancer (GC) could decrease its incidence and mortality. However, there are currently no accurate noninvasive markers for GC screening.
