연구실 소개

김재훈 교수의 연구실은 난소암, 자궁경부암을 비롯한 여성 생식기 암의 생물학적 기전을 규명하고, 임상적 유용성을 지닌 생체마커를 탐색하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 옥시토닌, LCN2, Ep-CAM, Cdk1, HIF-1α 등 다양한 생체마커와 갈래세포 표지자(예: OCT4, SOX2)의 발현과 임상적 결과 간의 연관성을 면역형광염색, 실시간 PCR, 생존 분석 등을 통해 체계적으로 연구하고 있습니다. 이는 암의 조기 진단 및 개인 맞춤 치료 전략 개발에 기여할 잠재력을 지닌 연구입니다.

Cyclin dependent kinase 1 (Cdk1) have previously reported correlation with cancer growth and a key regulator for cell cycle. We recently identified lipocalin2 (LCN2) as being upregulated in ovarian cancer cell lines. The purpose of this study was to validate LCN2 upregulation in ovarian cancers and to investigate its potential as a serum biomarker. We assayed LCN2 expression in ovarian cancers using real-time PCR and IHC. The Escherichia coli transmembrane protein DsbD transfers electrons from the cytoplasm to the periplasm through a cascade of thiol-disulfide exchange reactions. In this process, the C-terminal periplasmic domain of DsbD (DsbDgamma) shuttles the reducing potential from the membrane domain (DsbDbeta) to the N-terminal periplasmic domain (DsbDalpha). The crystal structure of DsbDgamma determined at 1.9 A resolution reveals that the domain has a thioredoxin fold with an extended N-terminal stretch.
