홍정희 교수의 연구실은 C*-대수학과 양자 기하학의 교차 분야에서 활동하며, 특히 양자 구면체와 양자 렌즈 공간의 C*-대수적 구조를 연구합니다. 그래프 C*-대수와 관련된 프리미티브 아이디얼 공간의 기하적 특성 분석을 통해 비단순 양자 위상공간의 구조를 규명하고 있으며, 실질적인 응용으로는 의료 분야의 삶의 질 평가 도구 개발 및 천연물의 생리활성 분석도 함께 진행하고 있습니다. 이는 수학적 구조 이론과 의학·생명과학 응용의 융합적 연구를 지향합니다.

곶감, 생감 및 감잎 추출물의 생리활성 효과

본 연구에서는 곶감, 생감 및 감잎의 메탄올 추출물을 제조한 후 이들의 생리활성을 검색하였다. 총 폴리페놀 함량은 곶감, 생감 및 감잎 각각 147.79, 301.45 및 315.90 μg/mg으로 생감 및 감잎에 폴리페놀 함량이 곶감에 비해 유의적으로 많았다. 감잎의 경우 폴리페놀 함량에 비례하여 DPPH radical 소거활성, 지질과산화 억제효과 및 salivary α-amylase 저해활성이 증가되었다. 항암활성도 폴리페놀 함량이 높은 생감 및 감잎추출물이 위암 세포인 AGS에 대해 65~70%의 높은 저해율을 나타내었다. 그러나 폴리페놀 함량에 차이가 있는 곶감과 생감의 경우 free radical 소거능 및 salivary α-amylase 저해활성은 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 또한, 항고혈압 활성은 곶감, 생감 및 감잎 추출물 모두 80% 이상의 높은 저해활성을 나타내었다. 항균활성은 감잎 추출물의 항균력은 나타나지 않았으나, 곶감 및 생감의 경우 E. coli O157:

For arbitrary infinite directed graphs E, the characterisation of the (not necessarily simple) Cuntz–Krieger algebras C*(E) which are purely infinite in the sense of Kirchberg–Rørdam is given. We consider a product system over the multiplicative semigroup N^x of Hilbert bimodules which is implicit in work of S. Yamashita and of the second named author. We prove directly, using universal properties, that the associated Nica-Toeplitz algebra is an extension of the C^*-algebra Q_N introduced recently by Cuntz.

On invariant MASAs for endomorphisms of the Cuntz algebras

The problem of existence of standard (i.e. product-type) invariant MASAs for endomorphisms of the Cuntz algebra O_n is studied. In particular endomorphisms which preserve the canonical diagonal MASA D_n are investigated.
