김정하 교수의 연구실은 해양 식물, 특히 갈조류인 에클로니아 케바와 같은 해조류의 생물활성 물질 탐색과 생태 복원 기반 연구를 중심으로 활동하고 있습니다. 항바이러스 작용을 보이는 프로르타닌 유도체의 정제 및 기전 분석, 해조류 기반 생태계 서비스 회복을 위한 복원 전략 개발이 주요 연구 방향이며, 기후 변화와 오염 등 스트레스 요인에 대응한 생물의 적응 메커니즘에 대한 기초 연구도 진행 중입니다. 특히 해조류의 방어 반응 특성과 녹조 블룸의 계절적 동태를 규명함으로써 생태계 관리에 실질적 기여를 하고 있습니다.

15The bioassay-directed isolation of a marine brown alga, Ecklonia cava, afforded four phlorotannin derivatives, eckol (1), 8,8'-bieckol (2), 8,4"'-dieckol (3), and phlorofucofuroeckol A (4). A long-term change of a subtidal macroalgal assemblage has been investigated in Maxwell Bay, King George Island (KGI) of the Antarctic coast by a revisit survey after 30 years. Field surveys were done by SCUBA diving at six sites in 2016-2018 to directly compare with the previous survey conducted in 1988-1993 at the same sites.
