연구실 소개

한정호 교수의 연구실은 고강도·초연성 중망성강 및 나노구조 표면 처리 기술을 핵심으로 하여, 초고강도·초연성 소재의 개발과 응용에 주력하고 있습니다. 특히, 초합금 및 티타늄, 스테인리스강 등 다양한 금속 소재의 나노구조화와 접합 공정을 통해 높은 기계적 성질과 내구성을 확보하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 핵열공학 분야에서도 냉각재 차단에 따른 열역학적 영향을 분석하는 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 이는 첨단 항공우주 및 원자력 소재의 실용화를 위한 기초 기술을 확보하는 데 기여하고 있습니다.

Superplastic alloys exhibit extremely high ductility (>300%) without cracks when tensile-strained at temperatures above half of their melting point. Superplasticity, which resembles the flow behavior of honey, is caused by grain boundary sliding in metals. Although several non-ferrous and ferrous superplastic alloys are reported, their practical applications are limited due to high material cost, low strength after forming, high deformation temperature, and complicated fabrication process.
