박정우 교수의 연구실은 고성능 및 에너지 효율적인 신경망 하드웨어 아키텍처 설계를 핵심으로 하며, 특히 임베디드 및 모바일 환경에서의 실시간 학습(온칩 훈련)과 저전력 추론 기반 시스템 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 신경망의 구조적 특성(예: 비희소 활성화 함수, 고정밀도 요구)을 고려한 전력 최적화 아키텍처와 SoC 수준의 하이퍼레벨 설계 기법(예: TLM, SystemC)을 접목하여 실현 가능한 하드웨어 솔루션을 제안합니다. 특히, 실시간 환경 적응 및 장치 내 품질 보존을 위한 고성능·저전력 하드웨어 기반 머신러닝 시스템의 구현을 목표로 하고 있습니다.

This paper proposes a low-complexity mobile display digital interface (MDDI) architecture. We implement and verify the proposed MDDI-host architecture on a system-on-chip (SoC) platform with a 32-bit RISC CPU and a FPGA module.
