15Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and optical sensing are different earth observation methods. Compared to the optical sensors, the SAR has the imaging advantages such as all-weather, all-time, ability to traverse clouds and vegetation, etc. We propose the application of the cycle-consistent generative adversarial network (CycleGAN) for translating the SAR images and the optical images with each other by training two generator networks and two discriminator networks simultaneously. In this paper, w
BACKGROUND: Dysregulation of iron metabolism is implicated in malignant transformation, cancer progression, and therapeutic resistance. Here, we demonstrate that iron regulatory protein 2 (IRP2) preferentially regulates iron metabolism and promotes tumor growth in colorectal cancer (CRC). METHODS: IRP2 knockdown and knockout cells were generated using RNA interference and clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-Cas9 methodologies, respectively. Cell viability was evalu
Redox-active metal ions are pivotal for rapid metabolism, proliferation, and aggression across cancer types, and this presents metal chelation as an attractive cancer cell-targeting strategy. Here, we identify a metal chelator, KS10076, as a potent anti-cancer drug candidate. A metal-bound KS10076 complex with redox potential for generating hydrogen peroxide and superoxide anions induces intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS). The elevation of ROS by KS10076 promotes the destabilization of
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images can be observed in all weather conditions. In addition, SAR automatic target recognition (ATR) is an important technology in the field of remote sensing image analysis. However, it is expensive to acquire SAR images, which limits the construction of additional datasets. In this paper, we propose a method to enhance ATR performance of the corresponding SAR images based on triple-generative adversarial networks (GANs). We added a classifier to learn together s
KS40008 exerts antitumor activity through the inhibition of DYRK1A/B. Here, we demonstrated a mechanism by which KS40008 affects endoplasmic reticulum stress-mediated autophagy through the induction of mitochondrial stress, leading to cytotoxicity in CRC.
The synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image can be acquired regardless of weather condition and time through radar reflection. However, visual effects and observations of the SAR image is difficult due to single channel information and speckle noise. In this paper, we present the disadvantage that cycle-consistency loss focuses only on texture based on the CycleGAN, and propose to apply the dual contrastive learning GAN (DCLGAN) that maximizes mutual information between SAR and optical images by le
This paper discusses a version of the ICM method in which the contextual information is modeled by Markov random fields (MRF). To select the feature, a new local MRF model with a fitting block neighborhood is introduced. This model extracts contextual information not only from the relative intensity levels but also from the geometrically directional position of neighboring cliques. Feature selection depends on each block's contribution to the local variance. They discriminates it into binary reg

Abstract Background: Iron homeostasis plays a role in redox activity, mitochondrial function, and cell cycle regulation. Specifically, the dysregulation of iron metabolism is implicated in malignant transformation and cancer progression. Iron regulatory protein 2 (IRP2) is crucial for maintaining balance within iron levels and primarily controls genes associated with iron utilization. Our discovery of KS20226, a first-in-class IRP2 inhibitor, reveals remarkable potential as an effective anti-can
Background: 177Lu-PRRT is one of standard treatments for pts with somatostatin receptor (SSTR)-positive well-differentiated NETs.However, only few pts with Asian ethnicity were included in the previous pivotal NETTER-1 trial and there is lack of realworld data for 177Lu-PRRT from Asian regions.Herein, we performed a retrospective study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of 177Lu-PRRT in pts with advanced NETs in Korea. Methods: A total of 64 pts treated with 177Lu-DOTATATE in Asan Medical Center
An entry from the Cambridge Structural Database, the world’s repository for small molecule crystal structures. The entry contains experimental data from a crystal diffraction study. The deposited dataset for this entry is freely available from the CCDC and typically includes 3D coordinates, cell parameters, space group, experimental conditions and quality measures.
Iron regulatory protein (IRP2) plays a key role in regulating iron metabolism and enables cell survival by activating mitochondrial function. Targeting IRP2 to disrupt iron homeostasis is a promising strategy for enhancing the efficacy of cancer treatments. Depletion of IRP2 in breast cancer (BC) cells is associated with sensitivity to radiation therapy (RT), and inhibition of IRP2 prior to RT significantly reduces cell viability compared with radiation treatment alone. This combined therapeutic
