정 지 훈 교수의 연구실은 나노소재 기반의 유전자 치료제 및 백신 전달 시스템을 개발하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 siRNA, 올리고뉴클레오티드, DNA 등의 유전 물질을 효율적이고 표적적으로 세포 내로 전달할 수 있는 생체모방형 나노입자, 마이크로니들, 하이드로젤 딜리버리 시스템을 설계하고 있습니다. 다양한 생체 환경(예: 산성 내소모, 체온 변화)에 반응하는 스마트한 물질 설계를 통해 약물의 지속적 방출과 생체 적합성을 동시에 확보하고자 합니다.
